CARPE MEDIA

WHAT IS CARPE MEDIA?

Carpe Media (dot net) is an online magazine that features media commentary, creative nonfiction and personal essays — as well as a couple multimedia stories, now that it’s July 2009 and we’re fully aware that the era of new media is upon us. The site was founded at the University of Missouri’s School of Journalism and is staffed by current and former journalism students.

Formerly called Carpe Medium, the name change signifies CM‘s goal of serving as a springboard for our contributors’ own websites.

The site’s editor welcomes print and multimedia submissions from both inside and outside the J-school.

Send ‘em this way to: emilywsussman (at) me (dot) com.

All rights to our editorial (text, photo, video and audio) content are protected by a Creative Commons Non-Commercial, Attribution-Please License and may certainly be reproduced … though not if you’re scheming to make cheap, dirty money off of it and/or are planning any terrorist threats on the Missouri School of Journalism and/or are affiliated with the OTHER Columbia J-School. (Kidding, but not about the money or terrorism parts.) For more information, please contact: emilywsussman (at) me (dot) com.
